Eridan x Shy!Reader

It was a cold winters’ day, snow falling as people started home. Well, all except for a girl with (H-l) (H-C) who was sitting on a snow covered tree branch. Now you’re probably wondering why the girl, who was named (Y-n), was in a tree. No she wasn’t stalking anyone…… ok; she was stalking her crush. She didn’t know why no one liked Eridan, her crush. He was cute, a bit clingy, but positively cute. She sighed and frowned a bit. Sadly, he didn’t even know she existed, mostly because whenever she tried to talk to him she would chicken out and abscond out of there. Also, because Eridan was madly in love/flushed for Feferi Pixies who didn’t even like him. Just then her phone went off, making her yelp and fall from the branch and fall into….someone’s arms? (Y-n) looked up to see Tavros, metal legs and all. “E-E-Ehh, h-hello Tavros.” (Y-n) said as she smiled at him as he set her down. “hEY,,,,,,,(Y/n),, what were yOU,,,,,,, doing in that tree?” He asked as he smiled back at her. Tavros had been her best friend ever since they had met, and not to mention they had a lot in common. Most would say that they looked like a couple, but they only considered each other friends or brother/sister. (Y/n) blushed lightly as she turned around to see Eridan coming towards her. ‘O-Oh no.’ she thought as she absconded out of there. “Ehhh,,,,,,,where are you,,,,,going (Y/n)?” Tavros called out to her as she only started to run faster. Tavros sighed as he ran after her, missing the sad look on Eridan’s face as he went back to his hive.

“(Y/n),,,,, I don’t, uh, see why you can’t tell him.” Tavros asked (Y/n). “Tav, I can’t. I pretty sure he only likes Feferi, and I can see why. She’s a lot prettier than me, and really nice.”  She said as she looked away from her friend. A few minutes ago, Tavros had knocked on her door and was let in. He asked her what was wrong, and (Y/n) had then told him about her flush-crush on Eridan. Tavros had told her Eridan can be kind of rude, which she shyly nodded to. With some convincing, she managed to get Tavros to help her think of ways to tell the sea dweller her feelings. “Should I just tell him….” (Y/n) sighed out. “Yeah,,,,, you never, uh, know.” Tavros said as he smiled softly at her as she smiled back at him with glee. ‘I’ll do it…’ she thought warmly as she hugged Tavros and ran out of her house as Tavros smiled again and called Nepeta about the new ship.

~TIME SKIP~

(Y/n) had found Eridan sitting on a bench by a frozen lake. She knew her face must look like a cherry right now, but there’s no going back on this. (Y/n) put on her brave face and walked up to him. “Eridan…” she whispered out as he quickly turned around. She saw him blush, and got up to face her. “Uhh, hey (Y/n)…wwhat are you doin’ here?” He asked. (Y/n) shuffled in her spot a bit, and said, “I know you won’t feel the same way… but I’m flushed for you…” Eridan didn’t say anything for a while, but then said, “Is this a joke, did someone set you up to taunt me that I can’t fill any quadrants?” He started softly, but ended up yelling out the last part. (Y/n) flinched, and felt tears started to come up. “Do you really think I would fall for this? So, who set you up to this? Was it Sol, or possibly was it VVris?” Eridan growled at her. (Y/n) couldn’t hold the tears in, and she let then fall as she looked down and furiously rub her eyes. Eridan was about to yell at her again, until he saw her crying and flinched. “Look….. I’m sorry for yellin’ at you. Wwas it true wwhat you said. That you’re flushed me?” He said as (Y/n) nodded as her tears fell. Eridan sighed as he grabbed her chin and lifted it and started to whip away her tears with is gloved hand. “You shouldn’t cry, pretty girls don’t cry.” He said as he smiled softly at her. Then he brought his face close to hers and softly kissed her. Both wouldn’t deny that they felt fireworks when they kissed. They pulled away, Eridan resting his forehead on (Y/n)’s. “Flushed for you.” He said. “Flushed for you too.”  she said as they kissed again.
